As a little treat the girls and I headed to the South Place Hotel for their Bottomless Brunch.
Brunch is served from 12pm - 4pm every Saturday and Sunday in the restaurant 3 South Place Bar & Grill. It is priced at a quite reasonable £22.50 for two courses and £27.50 for three courses plus for an extra £15 per person you can have bottomless Prosecco, Bellini's & Mimosas and to be fair, they do constantly top you up if you require from the moment you order until the bill is presented.
As there were ten of us we all tried different things and everybody seemed very pleased with their dishes. I personally went for smoked Cobb chicken salad followed by the wild mushroom & butternut squash mac and cheese. Both dishes were excellent and I was far too full for dessert by the end.
We were seated in the middle large and long concrete table, which meant we could all see one another and giggle and chat. The atmosphere was buzzing, everyone was in a good mood and the service was prompt.
The only gripes were they do operate a 24 hour cancellation policy, which is a £20 charge per person and they do take your credit card on booking. They also do enable birthday cakes to be brought into the restaurant but a slicing fee applies. I can understand this as it stops people ordering a dessert and they did present the cake and candles plus provide crockery and cutlery, I just hadn't experienced this before.
This is a great place for a group brunch meet up, just be prepared to get boozy!
